Salt-N-Pepa Respond To Spinderella Lawsuit / Suggest She May Be Bitter

Published: Friday 12th Jul 2019 by David

Salt-N-Pepa is deeply offended by Spinderella‘s decision to sue them and have used their reps to offer their side of what is becoming a very complicated story.

Read below…

Spinderella believes that she is entitled to a third of the act’s profits as her look, sound, skills and talented were exploited to propel it to global superstardom.

Her bandmates disagree as they say she has always been hired to serve as an independent contractor and was paid on a job by job basis.

TMZ shares….

The ladies claim they haven’t used her name or likeness since her departure from the group.

Sandy & Cheryl are being petty and they know it.

That’s not petty. That’s business. Spin knows what the paperwork says. If it was acceptable she shouldn’t have gone along for it for the last 30 years. Why would they cut her in on a third when she isn’t a equal contributor

    1. Is this drama a PR stunt for their reality-TV with SWV (if it is still on)? 2. Spinderella rapped on some of S-N-P’s hits and album cuts; thus, she is more than just a contractor.

I am disappointed in all three that all this drama has occurred more than 25 years after them being together. Do better, Legends!!!

Check the credits. Spin did NOT write her lyrics. Hell, on some of the songs like Whatta Man, none of them wrote their lyrics

Spinderella is/was the Michelle Williams of Salt-N-Pepa. Kiiiii

    • MessyBoots July 12, 2019

She kind of was tbh.. except DC3 are real friends outside of the group. Salt n Pepa w/ Spin.. not so much.

Just like Michelle and Farrah were when they were abruptly hired to lip sync Letoya and Latavia’s background vocals in Destiny Child. Beyoncé had the nerve to say now we can sing. Girl those sales were on the decline once Michelle’s Al green vocals got on. They were not always pleasant on those DC records.

Michelle bodied a few tracks tho during her tenure…Through With Love, Free, Cater 2 U were excellent showcases for her timbre. And at least she actually got solos unlike Letoya, Latavia and the luggage girl.

    Pay the child her paper

Salt and Pepper should’ve never moved her forward. This was a two women group. I never considered Spinderella part of this duo team. She was more like the backup singer. Just the DJ spinning.
When they included her up front, I didn’t feel like she brought anything to their act . Women are just so petty. Let it go Spin!
