With exactly one week to go before the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards, organizers for the event are ensuring the performer bill is unmissable.
Because, they’ve just added the architect of ‘Hot Girl Summer’ to the line-up. Yes, Megan Thee Stallion will be performing at the August 26th ceremony.

Moments ago, Billboard broke the news that the Houston native will be bringing her blazing brand of heat to the VMAs pre-show, which is being hosted by Terrance J and Nessa.
Some will recall Cardi B’s breakout showing of ‘Bodak Yellow’ at the 2017 pre-show and how that helped catapult her into top-tier territory. Suffice to say, the hope is that Meg’s slot will have a similar effect.
Also set to perform (on the pre-show) are Ava Max and CNCO.
While on the main stage, the likes of Michael Jackson Video Vanguard honoree Missy Elliott, Taylor Swift, Camila Cabello, Lizzo, and Lil Nas X. More names are expected to be announced imminently.
The 2019 VMAs airs live from the Prudential Center in New Jersey on Monday August 26th.
