I said the same. Honestly, I’ve always loved Nicki’s tone and clarity when she spits. I was hoping for her to figure out how to put Roman on here but it didn’t work out. To me, the weaker link was Megan. And I’m not sure if it’s just because her actual rap style is so different than any rap female EVER. Legit, her candance and vocal tone is so unique and I can’t decide if I like it. It doesn’t hit me like it want it too. Even Iggy Az has that punch and diction I like. Not counting Meg out but I’m hoping she works on her flow and diction more. Nick was cool. But hearing Cardi and the City Girls would’ve made this blaze. I even like Brianna’s tone too. Maybe this should be a song that creates on going remixes where all the hot females hope on a version and we get to say who went the hardest.

Kash Doll has bars! But she’s usually hit or miss with her delivery. Saying you want Cardi and the city girls on there is equivalent to saying you wanted a male to write the female rappers verse lol. When I heard act up by the city girls, it’s immediatiately noticeable how they rap off beat, I stopped listening.
Although Young Miami falls off beat a few times lol it’s kinda become her style and apart of her brand. It’s on the off beat. Just like in dance Latin choreo tends to be on the down or off beat. Granted, young Miami didn’t start doing that on purpose but if you’ve noticed… she’s becoming better and more intentional when she does it.. see her feature with GEazy. But besides that.. I’ve tried to share rap/hip hop knowledge on here before.. being a rapper doesn’t require the artist to be a writer. Literally the forefathers of rap didn’t write their own music. Rapping is a skill that is based on the ability to recite not write. Writing could be an assist and should celebrated but as its own respected skill. That’s why there writers who exclusively write music and don’t perform. To reiterate, writing is not a requirement for consumers to love a song that’s *performed* well by a rapper. This is why writers like Kash Doll and Remy can write us under a table but can’t rap to save a burning infant.
The delivery, dynamic, upbeat energy, and diction of Cardi meets Young Miami would compliment this song. Just how they did with Twek.

It’s cool, kinda underwhelming tho. Nicki’s voice is dope and ty sounds good on anything. I’m sure radio is going replay this but it doesn’t sound like a hit to me.
I want Meg to win but it’s something about her sound that doesn’t quite translate to hits. Kinda like Remy. She can rap but can’t make a hit to save her life.

Nicki is soooo formulaic in her lyrical style and if she says “I ain’t talking” again to set-up her wack ass punchlines… She also need to stop having a temper tantrum flow, she comes off pressed trying sooo hard to outdo people on their song. This was supposed to be a genuine collaboration, not a contest. Slow your roll, take a deep breathe and compose yourself when you’re in that booth, sis! Poorest execution of female rap unity all year. Go stream Tempo, Chanel Slides, Twerk, Tina Tamera and even F*** it Up sis for The essence of REAL female rap unity.

I think Meg should have had the visual already shot and ready to go. Because honestly, this song was very Underwhelming. I don’t hear Summer banger or Anthem (which honestly I knew it was going to give this, very much so). The visual could possibly have given it a lift if the treatment is done properly. The fact that she is sampling a very current song in this song does not make this song like a song that would be on a studio album. It is very much a mixtape sounding track. Nicki’s flow is kind of killing the vibe of the song. It sounds misplaced. I just knew she had finally regained her footing…but nope! Same mess…sorry. Meg, I wish you the best and hope this prospers regardless of my opinion. Good luck!

Great to see this collaboration come together but I have to say everything about this was great on paper but final outcome was just ok. Meg the Stallion is very very beautiful and she has a lot of attention right now but she is just average when it comes to her skills and has yet to prove hit potential. But all in all urban radio will definitely be eating this up.
