The promo grind has been heavy for R&B maven Monica.
As we’ve reported here, the Grammy winner – who is celebrating topping R&B charts with her latest single ‘Commitment’ – has touched television (‘Wendy,’ ‘Good Morning America’), Web (‘Build’), and radio (‘Breakfast Club’) in its support.
Continuing her efforts to raise awareness, Mo visited our friends at New York’s 107.5 WBLS to discuss her new album, ‘Chapter 38,’ and what she’s expecting to follow it. To listeners’ surprise, the diva – in addition to discussing touring and more music related plans – dished on plans to get into photography, art direction, and return to movies and television.

Oh Monica. That new album will flop harder than the last and you know it. Last decent album was After the Storm back in 2003. You just don’t have the “it” factor. Bland and boring. Code Red was bland as hell.

Yep, it sure is! My favorite albums of Monica are her 1st (Miss Thang), 3rd (After The Storm), and 5th (Still Standing)… ✋ s down! However, I am a bigger Brandy fan out of the two of them. My favorite Brandy album’s are 1st (Self-Titled Brandy), 2nd (Never Say Never), 3rd (Full ?), and 4th (Afrodisiac)…there…GO “B Rocka!”

I’m sorry to say this but Monica doesn’t know what she wants to do! She seems lost and doesn’t really have anything planned out. She wants to do music, movies, acting classes, cooking shows, child clothes designer……ugh?!?! Make a plan and get to work! It makes no sense just going on radio just talk about ideas, that should happen in a business meeting. Do promo wen you have something to promote! Commitment is already Number 1 on R&B so much what else u doing that’s confirmed?!?!

New single? I thought “Commitment” was just heating up with her doing interviews and performing the song live. I’ve never seen a song sit around for 6 months before it’s performed on TV. What happened? She can’t do that again with this next song.
