South London sister duo BLESSED have been drumming up all sorts of buzz thanks to their flavoursome sound – which they showcase in earnest on new single ‘Love Me.’

The track, released via Island Records, is the premiere offering from the pair’s forthcoming EP and functions as much as a bop as it does an empowering self-love anthem.

Speaking on the lyrical rooting of the Samuel Brennan production, the group explained:

“Learning to “love me” is the exact path we are both on. We haven’t reached a place of fully loving ourselves and that’s ok but It’s a journey we feel everyone can relate to especially in our generation. Social media has played a massive part in this as we are constantly comparing ourselves to others’ appearance and lifestyles. We wanted the video to show when we feel most accepting of ourselves, which is surrounded by our closest friends and family when we are our most authentic self. Over the years we’ve learnt that loving yourself isn’t just all appearance based but internal and to us it means being proud of the person you are becoming, growing daily and being kinder to yourself.”

In an era where songs often lack content and hang hopes of success on a banging beat alone, BLESSED are shining with material that manages to resonate and reverberate. Both lyrically and sonically.

A reality has us buzzed in earnest about the material they’ll be pouring onto the music scene in the months and year ahead.
