Jessie is overrated. I agree with Mel. Yeah she can sing but she lacks vocal control and her sound is pitchy. She also is not attractive so when you put those flaws into a music package its not going to sell. Music is a business! Mel B came from the highest selling female uk group of all time so her opinion holds weight. This is not about whether or not Mel B can sing. Mel b knows how to sell records

LOL Jessie is not pitchy. She has excellent control, but overdoes the vocal runs. Mel B can’t even carry a note, let alone maintain pitch or vocal control. lol She’s part of the mist overrated, least talented girl group of all time. None of them were great singers. Mel C was the best, and that’s not saying much. She yelled those high notes, so she always sounded shrill and shrieky.
Am I the only one who heard this properly? They asked which artist is overrated? She struggled with it and came up with Jessie J. Now, let’s discuss. No where did they say Jessie J’s vocals were overrated but her as an artist is overrated. Which means, yes, she can SANG, but her music is lack luster and not memorable. In conclusion, this means she is overrated. The spice girls were considered overrated too because they didn’t SANG, but they were a force and extremely successful. Movies, endorsements, dolls and all types of memorabilia. Something Jessie J never was nor never had.
It was hype around her voice when she hit the scene but that music never took off… at least in America. Where all the artist try to make it.

To be fair to Mel B, she didnt actually say jessie j’s voice is overrated. Imo, jessie j has an incredible voice and has a few amazing songs (who you are, for example)… but her overall catelogue leaves much to be desired…
