Back in March R&B siren Keri Hilson sent fans into a frenzy when she rang the alarm with reports her new music would drop over the summer, ending a nearly decade-long absence from radio and charts.
As we reported here, the Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter took to Instagram to wield a lengthy statement discussing how industry politics, self-esteem, and other factors caused serial delay on the delivery of her highly anticipated third album (the follow-up to 2010’s ‘No Boys Allowed’).
Although she missed the once-reported deadline, Miss Keri Baby – as we prepare ourselves for the first week of fall – has taken to that very platform to announce the project’s completion is nearing.
See what she said inside:
As she’s carefully called the effort a “project” and never specifically an album, here’s hoping whatever Miss Keri Baby is cooking up – be it LP, EP, etc. – is worth the wait. With the musical climate being much different from the one she left years ago, it will certainly be interesting to see what she brings to the table.
