Alicia Keys has unlocked the video scintillating comeback jam ‘Show Me Love’ featuring Miguel.

The Cara Stricker directed clip showcases various couples battling the elements the express their feelings for one another and for self.

Featuring appearances from Michael B. Jordan and Zoe Saldana, ‘Show Me’ is the premiere release to be lifted from Keys’ first album in three years.

Explaining the vid, she says:

“I have been on this journey to be more vulnerable; in my life, in my music; and this new visual experience reflects this time. Show me loves displays different expressions of love, the journey of it, the push and pull, the struggle and the eventual joy and peace.”

Watch below…

Visually, this is stunning! While musically it feeds the need we have for Alicia in 2000-and-now. In that it’s rooted in her soulful vocal and lyric, while also sounding fresh and providing fertile ground to spring from with her new project. She and Miguel function as a great team too.

I don’t like it. The song is very….anti-climactic. But whatever. Alicia is a legend and made her mark. She doesn’t need to ever sell another record.

  2. Shayla Queen September 17, 2019

The way she speaks comes across so pretentious. “I’m so spiritual” yada yada…

Remember that time Miguel Dropkicked a girl in the head trying to be cool?

I watched 10 seconds of this video and I was already yawning. Alicia, what happened? You seem lost without Clive Davis to use as a sounding board.

It was very meh…nice vocals between the two but what happened to Alicia’s fire?!!…this is sooooo album filler to me or even could have been cut into an interlude…YIKES!

I am a fan & will always be a fan as I will never judge an artist by their ‘personal’ life. Just seems pretty wack to me to do so, so I am happy to hear something new from you Alicia! Thank you for continuing to make real ART & showcase real TALENT!

Ok visually it’s beautiful but it gets boring rather quickly.

This song sounds like an album track, not a single to state « I’m back ».

I think something more soulful and piano driven like when she first started is what people want from her, I love her vocal style on « How come you don’t call me anymore » for example.

I understand she’s reached a point where she does what she likes.
But you can’t forget the things that made the audience fall in love with you.
And it seems like she hasn’t found the right balance between pleasing people and trying new things.

I wish her the best because she’s a true talent, whether you like her work or don’t, you can’t deny that.

This is fire. Somebody making something substantial and with feeling. Great track, y’all!

This is her in her pocket. The lyrics and simplicity of it all is where she shines best…plus her and Miguel together…NOTHING but fire

Black folks worry about the stupidest dumb s*** and make their own life harder . No matter how intelligent you are sound, think, or smell; white folks still aint’ gonna like you. Visually this was great, is it the return to glory for Alicia Keys that the masses have been waiting for not exactly, however I can see this getting attention at R&B/AC stations.

This song is ? welcome back Alicia

  16. King Khia September 17, 2019

The song is cute, but the music video is pretentious AF, very Janelle Monae-ish. Nobody cares, not even the conceptual art lovin’ queeeers.

  17. 2bad2bme September 17, 2019

Her singing was so lazy and the lyrics and melody was tired. SHE LOST HER MOJO!

  18. Beonthelkout September 17, 2019

It’s a no for me. Patiently waiting for a stan to leak the Put It In A Love Song video.

    • Shayla Queen September 17, 2019

That song was trash so the video can also stay where it belongs ?

  19. Keith September 17, 2019

The song is a slow burner, I can see it growing on me. I welcome Alicia back and look forward to hearing what else she has come up with…

  20. ERIC September 17, 2019

The amazing melody and creative instrumentation from the As I Am album is still missing in this song. There should’ve been a beat that kicked in and a bridge. The song goes nowhere. Somebody please help Alicia!!

    • J September 18, 2019

I’m saying though. At this point I’m never excited for her anymore

  21. Ropeburn September 17, 2019

This is a hot little quiet storm song! Love it! This is REAL RnB. It ain’t about all that uterus shakin in heels and blonde weave!

    • XYZ September 18, 2019

No, but real rnb has a beat and you can bump to it. Hell, the rnb Songs in the 90ies or beginning that 2000ies have never been that boring. At least I dont think that rnb is the equivalent to some spa music

  22. J September 18, 2019

    Where the beat

  23. Okay? September 18, 2019

    Beautiful visual!❤❤❤❤
