With Tinashe reportedly severing ties with her longtime label and management earlier this year, the R&B belle appears to be lining up the key players for her comeback.

In an interview with HHNM, Hitmaka (who was formerly known as Yung Berg) opened up about his work with the singer. During the segment, he made an interesting revelation; he shared that Tinashe has signed with Roc Nation:
“I actually spoke to her just recently. She left RCA Records, I believe she’s managed by Roc Nation now. She reached out to me about the record. That was a project we did called Nashe. It was a lot of fun doing that because we really went into the studio for a week and banged out like 15 records that are just amazing. I’m excited for everybody to hear the records. You know we had a little bit of a start and stop with her switching labels but hopefully y’all will get to hear the music soon.”
The Roc is a full service company with multiple arms, hence it’s important to note that Hitmaka is referring to Nashe signing with them for management (rather than to their label).
With a roster that includes Rihanna, Mariah Carey, and Big Sean, Roc Nation seems more than equipped to steer the talented star to higher heights.
That said, any such reintroduction to the music market would need to see Tinashe paired with an equally capable label.
All involved are then tasked with establishing a laser focused blueprint for the artist she’s going to be. Because the “I sound like this today and like that tomorrow” approach from yesteryear clearly did not work.

Shes not big enough to go independent. Her biggest problem is that she cannot sing and when you are black you have to be a triple threat. She looks cute and she can dance but she lacks voice. Same goes for Normani. I like them both but unless they can find the right team of producers who can make their voices sound seductive, sexxy, and magnetic like Janet and Ashanti did in their primes i dont see it for Tinashe and Normani.

I’m afraid a label can’t save her. Tinashe had everything from budget for countless videos, the best producers and features, endless promo.
Tinashe should be making the caliber artistry of FKA Twigs. To me, that’s the lane she should had been directed in. Instead they tried to make her mainstream and that ain’t it. FKA isn’t me a stream but she has a cult following and her underground realm adds to her appeal.
You make it seem like she had it well at RCA.
They stifled her art to release Pop music after releasing a ALT-R&B album which lead to confusion from fanbase. She leaked Party Favors only because they wanted to push Player.

Secondly, releasing good budgeted music videos without having promo on radio, spots in commercial ads/soundtracks isn’t going to do anything.

@Clarkson: I love Twigs (i buy her records), but you have got to be crazy if you think she is in the same league as either a singer or songwriter with Tinashe. Yes, Twigs is a visual innovator and displays a phenomenal athleticism with her dancing. She has that over Tinashe. Yes, Twigs seems to like her underground status but who realistically gets into the game to be a cult favorite forever? Of course, Tinashe wants to be famous. It’s how she handles it that determines how things play out.

Damn. Tinashe is a true fighter. The Joyride album was ok. It wasn’t as good as aquarius though. I really don’t know what to say for her anymore. She really has had a lot of backing from multiple positions. I will say… …. it seems like she’s inconsistent with sticking to a single. She’s had some very good singles in the past and it seem like if it didn’t chart, she just was on to the next project like asap! Now idk if that’s her fault or her teams fault. But in my theory, it’s still possible to WORK a single. She releases a single and or video, and then that’s it. Or she’ll get ghost. A lot of inconsistencies in her career is part of the fail imo. But I’m still checking for her. She makes good music, it’s just not getting out there for some reason. The masses is forced music all the time, I don’t see why she can’t do it.
Tinnashe last album cover was bad, who made it black and white you are too pretty… the blonde wig in no drama… horrible.
