Frank Ocean Announces New Queer Night Named ‘PrEP+’

Published: Thursday 17th Oct 2019 by Sam

Frank Ocean is living in the luminosity of his light and is launching a new club night to encourage others to do the same.

Its name? ‘PrEP+’

Details below…

In a press release issued moments ago, it’s explained that the New York night – which draws its name from the HIV prevention drug PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis – is named as such to pay “homage to what could have been of the 1980s’ NYC club scene if the drug…. had been invented in that era.”

As well as the poster below, house rules were touted as being:

No photos or videos are allowed
Consent is mandatory
Zero tolerance for racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, ableism or any form of discrimination
The dance floor is for dancing

Like most things Frank, there is an air of mystery. Because means of snapping up tickets have yet to disclosed. However, tickets for the inaugural event are said to “have been distributed.” Take from that what you will.

The news comes as Ocean continues work on brand new music.

So when is his new album being released?

  2. Clarkson October 17, 2019

    Yawn
He has never ever came out to say he was gay, he dropped hints here and there and everyone keeps praising him for being brave. Meh.
    He bores me to tears.

Lil nas x even tho he is only 20 is a braver man than Frank.

Lil Nas X is only 20, and thus grew up in a more gay friendly world than Frank Ocean. Remember that only 20 years ago, it was perfectly fine to discriminate and bully people in the LGBTQ community.

Gurl the way ur talking as if Frank ocean is 50 years old.
This dude was in his 20’s when he released Chanel orange and he dropped hints he liked dìck.

        Stop making excuses.
He never really came out of the closet cause he thought it would harm his record sales.

Now he has seen Sam Smith and lil nas x thriving and selling records after publicly coming out, Frank has decided to crawl out of the closet. What a bìtch

Being gay is more acceptable today so why hasn’t frank said anything or given an interview or something discussing his sexuality.

Visibility is very important. A famous singer saying his gay can help millions of gays around the world.

Everyone doesn’t have to make a grand announcement, And every pillar of gay person that does for the gay community, does t. you sound extremely ignorant and foolish. The actions and intent are what matters most and things like THIS, creating positive spaces and awareness for the community is what’s most important… and you sitting here worried about him making some grand announcement like that nicki Minaj Twitter troll who has no musical talent outside of a computerized box… you need to step into the real world.

Watch as this club is gonna be filled with white racist gays cause that’s the type of men Frank likes. I can already smell the stench.

      Shawn Mendes is white-passing.

  4. Tyty October 17, 2019

Aww that’s cute his gay but doesn’t parade it around like a badge of honour or something , refreshing to see not everyone has to be a flaming attention seeking booty bandit.

    • Keith October 17, 2019

@Tyty: well, all of that comment was offensive. Was that supposed to be a compliment to Mr. Ocean?

  5. Adonis October 17, 2019

He’s obviously bottom poz undetectable ?

If he doesn’t take that Black man off of his CD cover! We all know he’s a swirler twirler.

This is super cool. I’ll definitely be checking for this and attending. This has potential to be something very positive (no pun) for the community. Awareness, safe spaces, Non-superficial, non sexual and progression is something we need in the NYC gay scene.
