Much to the dismay of Iggy Azalea (click here to read why), Lizzo logs another frame atop the Hot 100 with her breakout hit, ‘Truth Hurts.’
Placing her that much closer to tying the all-time record for longest running #1 Rap single by a female (currently held by Azalea’s 2014 hit ‘Fancy’), Liz (born Melissa Jefferson) has yet another week of handsome streaming, digital downloads, and radio airplay to thank for the tune’s ongoing domination of the charts.

I love Lizzo and love this song, but something tells me this will be her only big BIG hit. I don’t see any more top 10’s for her. Love her though!

She’s got two other songs on the album that have HUGE potential “Like a Girl” and “Soulmate”. Her team needs to stop resting on the success of “Truth Hurts” and push “Like a Girl” right now then come January push “Soulmate” so that by Valentine’s Day/month it’ll see an extra push for the singles.
She needs to thank her lucky stars for streaming.

It’s funny you KEEP saying she released a remix with Da Baby yet it’s the actual solo release that’s gaining all the success. Let that girl have her moment. She’s encouraging, unproblematic and enjoying her life while lifting others and she’s quite humble.
