Objectively – I have to say her sound so far is consistent. This isn’t groundbreaking but it’s a good pop song that isn’t too sickly saccharine (Hi Taylor) and tries (not unsuccessfully) to be grown up. The Camilla ‘sound’ is becoming clear if she continues to follow this formula. She is serving what she said she would which is songs about love and relationships – the narrative is clear so far and easy to follow. 6/10.
She incorporates often live orchestration and I appreciate that. That guitar solo is refreshing, which is sad to say so, because you don’t hear that often anymore, especially on singles.
Not sure how this will perform but I wish her well.
