T-Pain is taking a literal approach to “keeping it real.”
Armed with the momentum of his winning stint on FOX hit ‘The Masked Singer,’ the star had hoped to embark on a US tour.
However, he’s been forced to pull the plug on the trek and he’s frankly cited poor sales as the reason.
See what he had to say below…
Taking to Instagram, the ‘Buy You A Drank’ belter, shared this video entry:
Per the clip, he said:
“Let me just start by saying that my team set up the tour in September… Some corners got cut. Production went missing. I wasn’t as hands-on with the planning and things as I should have been because I’ve been busy as hell.
I thought since the first 1UP Tour went well and sold out every city, it should be good. Having said that, I’m gonna take it upon myself to cancel [the tour]. It just would have been a bad look for me and it wouldn’t have been entertaining for y’all.”
He went on to get super candid, saying:
“I was advised to lie about this and say that I needed some time, or I needed some alone time or me time or some shit like that. We f*cked up. I’m gonna keep it real with y’all. Most artists lie. Whenever concerts get cancelled or tours get cancelled, it’s for low ticket sales.”
Not the best news. But props to T for keeping it 100.
