Michael Jackson is heading back to the big screen and in a major way.
For, it’s been announced that a biopic about the King of Pop is currently in the works and has the producer of Oscar winning ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ attached.

Per Deadline, Graham King has been granted the rights from the Michael Jackson Estate to helm the movie about the late legend’s layered life.
And while the Estate are involved (and have cleared use of Jackson’s iconic songs), word is that it won’t be a safe-sanitized account, but rather a raw and rare insight into one of – if not the – most famous names in modern music history.
Three-time Oscar nominee John Logan has been tapped to write the script for the flick, which – upon completion of that process – will be shopped to studios.
The news comes as other Jackson related projects Moonwalk their way into production; this includes the Broadway bound ‘MJ The Musical’ – which this week announced Ephraim Sykes as its lead.

I am talking about celebrity. Michael was bigger than life. People bought his albums like they do light bulbs and this was during a time with lots of other huge celebrity competition (Madonna, Whitney Houston, The Beatles, etc). People were spending real money on his albums and singles not streaming freely and counting that as “sales” or paying pennies on the dollar for digital downloads like in today’s music climate. In the US, albums were $14 to $17 each and singles sold for $3 to $6 each in the 1980s and a lot more internationally. Taylor has no competition and she is doing great but to compare celebrity in the 2000s to the 1980s is ridiculously idiotic. Social media destroyed the possibility for stars to be as big as Michael Jackson was / is. Everyone wanted to be like Michael! You cannot say the same thing about Taylor! Why can’t you just worship and praise Taylor without pitting her against other artists? She has nothing to do with Michael Jackson. When people think of Michael Jackson they do not have to pit him against any other artists! That is how big he was / is! Michael is true definition of a superstar who was looked at as on a pedastal.

No he is not. Michael was a very kind human spirit and that is all they need to depict. The p*** accusations were nothing more than desperate money grabs! People see right through that. Anyone who does not see right through that is seeing what they want to see being he was found not guilty and the evidence does not lie. He was accused twice. The first time MJ fought the case for a year and a half before his tour insurance company paid that lawsuit off.because he knew he was not guilty and the evidence proved that. The second time he was accused it was after he had died and those allegations were dismissed in a court of law due to lack of evidence and the accusers purposely waiting until MJ had died to pursue a quick money grab.
They can’t complain if the facts are told as they are. He was under investigation and his name was cleared. That’s it. There’s no way to mess that up. But you’re right…people will still complain because they want to believe something other than the proven truth.
