New Song: Christina Aguilera & A Great Big World – ‘Fall On Me’

Published: Friday 22nd Nov 2019 by Sam

Christina Aguilera has re-teamed with A Great Big World for new single ‘Fall On Me.’

The moving ballad follows the acts’ previous collaboration ‘Say Something’ – which proved to be a major hit, peaking at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 back in 2013.

Cut from an equally emotional cloth, ‘Fall’ sees Xtina and A Great Big World trade verses on the uplifting piano led anthem.

Listen after the jump…

Christina sounds incredible, so much so that it could be argued the song would be better suited solo.

Still, it makes for an engaging listen in its current guise – especially lyrically.

Cuts of this kind don’t tend to dominate radio en masse, but this has the potential to be one of the rare gems shine through. The ballad-friendly time of year is advantageous, as is the chart stock Xtina and the guys have as a collective. So time will tell.

In the meanwhile, what are…

Your thoughts?

This is a beautiful ballad. She is one of the best singers on the planet and deserves better than where she currently is in her career.

I like Christina, but this ballad is slow and sleepy.

A Fallen RASPY damaged Faulty Soprano Voice Angel maybe? christina first 2 albums — yes. Not Now honey – good try. She can still sing, but her voice is Damaged Badly.

        T…to da…RUTH.

She must hear the grating gravel.

I wonder why she doesn’t get it “fixed” or bypass that part of her voice altogether?!?

Dramatizing a lyric voice = artistic idiocy.

Clearly you didn’t listen to liberation and certainly did not hear her vocals from the liberation tour, xperience and x tour! Now stfu and sit down honey!

For some reason I can’t stand that small tiny world guy’s voice….. Xtina can do a solo without them, just saying

  8. PinotNoir November 22, 2019

    Xtina has no narrative.

    Unrelatable in MILF s** sells.

Or dad beat me once in my life.

“Unless It’s With You”, as lead & only single, could’ve become a wedding anthem a la Céline’s “Because You Loved Me” & carried Maria’s Liberation above this gravel-y sung s****** text .

Men in her label must hate her.

    ‘Tis the only explanation.

      • PinotNoir November 25, 2019

I mean after his basic vocal intro Xtina‘s texture was like rain on an arid dessert. His voice actually sounds better when it is NOT alone and is blended with Xtina‘s. I got half way through the song and realised nothing had actually happened – then the build up came and the change of vocal key was just too much and I had to turn it off. It might make people feel like it’s a winter hymn or festive ballad but otherwise – it’s dull as dish water.

@Haterz.. – “I got half way through the song and realised nothing had actually happened – …. ” – I agree.

This is beautiful. It reminds me of when I first heard Christina on ” Stripped”. I thought she was amazing and Ive been a fan ever since. There have been quite a few songs she has sung that have had special meaning to me and have brought me to tears. When she and aGBW did their 1st; it too brought me to tears as Ive lost both my parents and dear relatives and my best friend. This song again made the tears flow. So beautiful. I could see the music when I closed my eyes.
