Just days after a notable figure called for the celebration of Nicki Minaj, the femcee has been announced as the recipient of a major honor at Billboard Women In Music 2019.

Minaj will receive the Game Changer award at the 14th annual ceremony in New York next month.
Joining her are Alanis Morissette (Icon Award), Brandi Carlile (Trailblazer Award). and Roc Nation COO Desiree Perez (Executive Of The Year Award).
Speaking on the honorees, Billboard Editorial Director Hannah Karp said in a statement:
“Billboard’s Women in Music is an annual opportunity for us to celebrate undeniably influential women from across the industry. This year, with honorees like Alanis Morisette, Brandi Carlile, Desiree Perez and Nicki Miniaj, we are excited to highlight a diverse group of women pushing limits and breaking boundaries.”
The ladies will receive their awards on December 12th.
