Sevyn Streeter Returns With New Single ‘Whatchusay’ / Teases Video

Published: Wednesday 6th Nov 2019 by Sam

Sevyn Streeter is back and aiming to blaze with new single ‘Whatchusay.’

The release serves as the first taste of the singer-songwriter’s sophomore album ‘Drunken Words, Sober Thoughts.’

Both follow debut LP ‘Girl Disrupted,’ which received critical acclaim upon its arrival in 2017.

Having penned bops for the likes of Chris Brown, Ty Dolla $ign, and more, Streeter is ready to once again again place on the spotlight on herself.

Ahead of the track’s November 8th debut, check out a titilating teaser for its accompanying video…

She is so slept on she’s so talented and such a sweet lady but this industry is Demonic and good girls with good values get over looked

Ok – She got my attention back!! She has always had the voice (listen to her Whitney Houston cover) the pen game and the MOVES. Mid tempo R&B jams with choreo is definitely a good look on her but she got lost in several back to back tracks with way too much auto tune and not enough ear for a song structure, melody and hook for a HIT. In today’s visual generation hopefully the visuals convert the listeners into fans ?????? Rooting for her. ??

    Meh.
This beat has been over done

    She didnt evolve or grow.
    Same old same old.

She had a bright future when she released it wont stop, but it went down hill from there.

She us going to stay in the same corner with teyana Taylor.

I actually agree. Immensely talented, but her efforts are always substandard.

No one in R&B is really doing it for me. We’re in a very sad state of music.

Pop has been on the decline for me as well.

Sounds similar to Monica’s commitment song

      No it doesn’t. At all.

Sevyn is another one of the underrated “not-so-new” girls. Im looking forward to seeing what this release brings. Hopefully songs with hooks, less autotune and strong melodies…

I never seen so many new artist struggle like I see in this day in age! I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m worth more than half of them, because nobody is buying theRe music & they not booking show besides these lil 400 capacity shows

    Rooting for her

Sevyn is so talented. I wish she would’ve stayed with Atlantic a little longer. She deserves so much success.

My thing with her is that the songs she releases are not a reflection of her album. Her ep’s where great but her album was terrible. A gang of slow songs

i agree. she had so many bops on her mixtapes. the album was not good and im a huge fan. plus it was delayed so many times.

“Call Me Crazy But…” was a banger! That shoulda been her album. Someone somewhere dropped the ball with her. She doesn’t even know if she’s still signed with Chris Brown. “Yearning” was a bop though and deserved more recognition. Sevyn knows how to craft a song when she wants to.

I was a Sevyn STAN but her album was just not good at all. I was so disappointed in that body of work. I hope her new stuff is better.
