Michelle Williams Visits ‘The Real’ / Dishes on Being Single, Insecurities in Destiny’s Child, & More

Published: Thursday 12th Dec 2019 by Rashad

After an impressive run on FOX’s wildly popular singing competition, ‘The Masked Singer’ (as we reported here), Grammy-winning songstress Michelle Williams is on to the next gig and hitting the promo trail in its support.

Set to make waves as ‘The Evil Queen’ alongside Neil Patrick Harris in the stage adaptation of ‘A Snow White Christmas’ (click here to read more on that), the Destiny’s Child diva dropped by ‘The Real’ Wednesday (December 11) to dish on this project, new solo music, life after breakup with former fiance Chad Johnson, and so much more.

See it inside:

As longtime fans know, Williams recently made headlines for revealing how negative comments impacted her during her tenure with the best-selling girl group.  Taking to Billboard, she said:

“I’ve done a lot of gospel, so I’m kind of insecure because mainstream [fans] don’t know my voice. Apparently I don’t have the most commercially appealing voice or whatever. People have their favorites, but vocally I was not a favorite in the group, and that stuck with me.”

She actually has the most number 1 albums outside the group other than Beyonce. I LOVE Michelle and she is my second favorite behind Letoya

michelles voice is unmatched. its so unique and like kelly said “you voice is like water or like rain and the world aint ready for you.”

I remember when beyonce would big up michelles voice. she did it a lot back in the day and i didnt understand until the destiny fulfilled album and tour. she’s the soul of the group.

some might not understand but she is the best thing that happened to destinys child.
