It’s official! Billie Eilish has bagged the coveted James Bond ‘No Time To Die’ theme song.
And is making history in the process.
Details below…
The news was trumpeted from the movie’s social channels, as well as Eilish’s.
Notable was the touted fact that the gig makes the 17-year-old the youngest artist in history to write and record a James Bond theme song.
She penned the cut alongside brother Finneas. Meanwhile Hans Zimmer will helm the score.
Much ado is oft made about the Bond theme, which – like the films – boasts a rich history. With the likes of Tina Turner, Adele, and Sam Smith lending their talents to some of the most recognisable and critically acclaimed musical contributions to the Bond franchise.
So, in more ways than one, this serves as a huge coup for Eilish whose breakout success has been the definition of incredible.
‘No Time To Die,’ the movie, hits theaters April 2nd in the UK (and April 10th in the US). As such, it’s safe to expect its title track imminently.
