Megan Thee Stallion is making silent, but serious, commercial moves.
Full story below…
Leading the wave of Nicki Minaj-inspired fun-loving female rappers, Stallion is set to release her debut album this year following a string of impactful singles.
Today, she has learned that the mixtape she forged to support the set has sold 500,000 units worldwide…almost a year after it peaked at number 10 on the Billboard 200.
400,000 of these units (mostly generated by streams) were amassed in her domestic market while the numbers it picked up overseas were fuelled by her infectious ‘Hot Girl Summer’ movement and the streaming magnet that is her Da Baby-backed bop ‘Cash.’
Megan isn’t the only female rapper reaching/eyeing new milestones.
Cardi B‘s ‘Invasion of Privacy‘ is on its way to reaching the 300,000 pure units sold mark in the United States as Doja Cat glides towards a new streaming record on Spotify.
