Rap sensation DaBaby joins the starlet on the ‘Romance’ track, the visual for which was directed by Dave Meyers.
Aiming for her next hit (and no doubt looking to light a much-needed match under her upcoming tour), Cabello has cooked up a cinematic spectacle.

While it’s clear to see what the angle was here, this would have benefitted in earnest from a vivid visual. Essentially a long-form version of the bright, action-packed closing scenes.
We suspect that, with the song’s sonic similarities to ‘Havana,’ the treatment was a deliberate means of delivering something different. But, the reality is that her best bet would have been embracing that.
A solid effort, but a missed opportunity all at the same time.
