Chart Check [Hot 100]: Lil Uzi Vert Makes History By Charting 20 Songs Simultaneously, Three in Top 10

Published: Tuesday 17th Mar 2020 by Rashad

It’s only March, but rapper Lil Uzi Vert has already set the bar very high for the rest of the year’s anticipated music releases.

As we reported here, the Grammy nominee sprung a surprise on fans by releasing his sophomore album – ‘Eternal Atake’ – a week early.  Soaring to #1 on the refreshed Billboard 200, the effort nearly sold 300,000 copies its first week (making it the best-selling LP by a solo act this year to date).

Its domination isn’t limited to the album charts, however.  Look inside to see what we mean:

Peruse of the Billboard Hot 100 shows the hitmaker concurrently occupies a whopping 20 positions, 3 in the top 10 alone.  A record-setting feat, Vert is now the third (and youngest) artist in history to place that many songs on the singles chart at once (following Drake and Lil Wayne).

As it relates to the top 10, he is the fourth and youngest artist in history – following Drake, Lil Wayne, and J. Cole – to DEBUT three songs in that region of the charts simultaneously.

Uzi’s full list of entries can be seen below.

Congrats, I guess. He won’t be relevant in 4 years though. He’s so gross. Looks like one of those bad kids in school that gets angry when the teacher asks him to read aloud.
