White Did It-produced cut has enjoyed a wave of success on digital sales and streaming platforms over the last few weeks thanks to a viral Tik Tok craze that challenges the app’s users (including celebrities) to upload videos of themselves doing choreography to it (like we reported here).
The enduring popularity of ‘Savage’ on social media outlets is finally reflecting in its Hot 100 run as evidenced by the most refreshed edition of the tally. Seeing ‘Savage’ strut to #20 as the result of a whopping 78-spot leap, the bop’s impressive jump brings with it two milestones for Meg. Not only is it the second top 20 single of her career (following 2019’s Nicki Minaj & Ty Dolla $ign-assisted ‘Hot Girl Summer’), but it’s also her first time in that region of the chart unaccompanied. All this ahead of the release of its official music video!
