Nearly three years after topping charts with his 2017 studio album, ‘Damn,’ rapper Kendrick Lamar is preparing to launch the global promotional campaign around its long-awaited follow-up (rumored to be due later this year).

Just two months ago we reported the 32-year-old had been tapped to topline the British Summer Time Hyde Park 2020 (click here to read more about that).  Now, it’s been revealed the Grammy winner will be bringing his talents to yet another UK festival staple – Glastonbury.

Kendrick Lamar has been announced as the Friday night headliner for this year’s Glastonbury Festival, which is slated to take place June 24-28. Other acts that have been revealed for the festival include FKA twigs, Burna Boy, Robyn, Thom Yorke, Ed O’Brien (as EOB), Camila Cabello, and Caribou, among others. [source]

Lamar’s addition comes months after it was announced Taylor Swift and music legends Paul McCartney and Diana Ross were also billed as headliners of the multi-day fest.

Organizers of the extravaganza – aware of the mass cancellations of public events worldwide due to the highly reported coronavirus outbreak – took to Instagram to issue a statement regarding the matter.

“No one has a crystal ball to see exactly where we will all be 15 weeks from now, but we are keeping our fingers firmly crossed that it will be here at Worthy Farm for the greatest show on Earth,” reads a note from festival organizer Emily Eavis.

So, after much consideration given the current circumstances, and with the best of intentions, here is the first list of musical acts for Glastonbury 2020. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ As things stand we are still working hard to deliver our 50th anniversary Festival in June and we are very proud of the bill that we have put together over the last year or so.
