Little Mix Shoot To #1 On iTunes With ‘Break Up Song’

Published: Friday 27th Mar 2020 by Sam

Little Mix are off to a flying start with new single ‘Break Up Song.’

The Pop anthem is the lead release from the quad’s sixth studio album and one of their first offerings since moving to RCA Records (from Syco).

Laced with catchy hooks and an immense chorus, the infectious cut has found favour with fans.

See what we mean below…

Just hours after its release, the track (which was co-penned by members Jade, Perrie, and Leigh-Anne) rocketed to #1 on iTunes UK.

It remains in pole position, as at writing.

Suffice to say, it’s a fire-fuelled start from the song – the lyric video for which premiered moments ago.

Check it out…

    Lol, when will Fifth Harmony?

Let’s not compare them to a group that disbanded 2 years ago and achieved global success. I love little mix, but they are a LOCAL group. No shade. Just enjoy this bop they released and stop trying to pit people/groups against others.

        little mix are global too

I love little mix, but let’s be real, they are not global. Sorry. Facts are facts. I hope they do become global, but right now, the only market that is truly checking for them is the UK

      Gurl Chao!
5th harmony was Never Be The Same when Camila Cabello left. Little Mix girl group outdue them with Love Song, Black Magick and Shout out to my ex.

Yeah, fifth harmony started flopping big time when it became 4th harmony. They didn’t make big hits when Camila used to be there with them. Camila is the one carrying the group pretty much and none of those 4 höes in fifth Harmony will make it big or be as half as successful as pop mega star Camila. #onlyfact #isaidwhatisaid

Hologram change your name to delusion. You think Camila carried the group?? Lauren and Dinah has the best voices and Ally

Hmm no ma’am! 5H had a huge worldwide hit with Work From Home but Little Mix are the ones actually touring the world. That’s a huge difference. Love H4rmony tho

As for the song… it’s in with the current trend of 80s synthpop and they sound great as usual. ??

Little Mix are not a global group. The top 5 music markets in the world are: USA > Japan > Germany > UK > France. Little Mix are only successful in 1. Here is the chart run for LM5:

    France – 55 > 146 > OUT
    Germany – 22 > 87 > OUT
    Japan – 60 > 96 > OUT
    USA – 40 > 156 > OUT

They’ve never had a certified album in any of those countries. If you like the group fine, but don’t delude yourself into thinking they are global based on social media and the fact they performed in an exhibition hall in Belgium.

    They consistently make great songs!
