More on her valiant efforts after the jump…
Barbados’ Prime Minister Mia Mottley (pictured with Rih below) made the announcement during the Appropriation Bill 2020 this week.
She said that the global star, who has always celebrated her Bajan roots, has donated BBD $1.4 million (BBD) to the Barbados Government – which will be used to purchase much needed ventilators and medical equipment in the wake of COVID-19’s arrival on the island.
It’s the latest move from the 32-year-old, who has also spearheaded other improvement initiatives in Barbados and beyond by way of her Clara Lionel Foundation and annual Diamond Ball.
