Alicia Keys Puts Quarantine-Inspired Twist on Flo Rida’s ‘My House’ For ‘Colbert’

Published: Friday 3rd Apr 2020 by Rashad

Alicia Keys has been on a week-long whirlwind promo tour all from the comfort of her home.

Kicking off the week with an appearance on Oprah‘s ‘Super Soul Sunday’ (March 29), the 15-time Grammy winner – building awareness for her recently released memoir, ‘More Myself’ (in stores now), and forthcoming seventh studio album ‘ALICIA’ – was also among headliners for FOX’s ‘iHeart Living Room Concert’ (click here to watch her performance).

Thursday (April 2), Keys took to ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ to render a virtual performance of rapper Flo Rida‘s top 2015 hit, ‘My House.’

“This song is dedicated to the moment,” she said. “I have a feeling that we’re all going through a similar thing, so I figured we could break it down like this.”

Reimagining the cut with quarantine-inspired lyrics, the diva showed off her funny bone while reminding viewers about the importance of social distancing during this global health crisis.  Did you miss any of the action? It’s all inside:

.@DUALIPA’s #FutureNostalgia officially debuts at #2 on the UK albums chart. It’s her highest charting album to date.

    TGJ stop being biased
UK is dua lipa’s home country and she couldn’t debut at number one, its embarrassing

This was not at all what I expected when I tuned in last night. I’m waiting for Alicia to find her mojo again.
