Beyonce has long used her platform for social good and she is continuing along said trajectory in the fight against coronavirus.
For, Queen Bey has teamed up with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey to jointly assist the relief effort by way of financial donation.
Full story below…
The BeyGOOD initiative and Dorsey’s #startsmall today announced a donation of $6 million in funding to organizations providing mental wellness services. This will be actioned at a ground level via a partnership with UCLA.
A joint statement read:
“Beyoncé’s BeyGOOD recognizes the immense mental and personal health burdens being placed on essential workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In our major cities, African-Americans comprise a disproportionate number of workers in these indispensable occupations, and they will need mental health support and personal wellness care, including testing and medical services, food supplies and food deliveries, both during and after the crisis.
The initiative is also partnering with the National Alliance in Mental Illness (NAMI) to offer local support in Houston, New York, New Orleans, and Detroit.
Personal wellness support will aid the following organizations; United Memorial Medical Center, Bread of Life, Mathew 25, and others.”
The news comes after Bey made appearances on the Disney Family Singalong fundraiser and Global Citizen’s ‘One World: Together At Home’ telethon.
Kudos.

Queen. ? ❤️
Watch the haters say “only 6 mill” but will skip over the other 3 posts about her donating millions. They hate to see anyone do great. Must suck being poor and fat.
1) It should be about everybody, not just African-Americans.
2) Why are black people in the US referred to as African-Americans ?! They are Americans, point blank. Just like white people have origins. I never got that part, it is plain stupid.
Do you know what the heck “disproportionate” means, fool? What news channel are you watching?
I can read, thanks for your concern.
The way the second paragraph is written doesn’t really include everyone.
I do understand what is being brought up to people’s attention.
But everyone will need the support being described, that was my point.
I love Beyoncé, but the photo you all chose to post with this is unnecessarily dramatic and extra. It pains me to say this, but this photo exemplifies why many don’t feel like they can connect/relate to Bey. That photo completely makes it look like everyone is beneath her… my opinion.
@ONLY FACTS what does it matter to anyone what photo is use of whoever. The thing is this, she’s doing what those in higher places( um) – politics from PRESIDENT on down should be doing to help get this economy and people as a whole back to reality. I’m tire of the nay sayers and haters always coming for this women who especially her family that always go far and beyond whatever the cause is to help with their own hard earn dollars from their bank accounts. Kudos to Beyoncé Jay-z and all those that are donating and doing whatever they can to help all those that are effective by this pandemic God bless
Good what she’s doing, but the world is bigger than just the African American community
Trump sure don’t feel that way since you putting it like that so he stepping in to help her people since we can’t get our own president to but he’ll help the white rich and wealthy real quick say something about that unfair treatment
Donations huh, girl you are still going to Jail! Ankle monitor. Lol
