New Song: Alicia Keys – ‘Good Job’

Published: Thursday 23rd Apr 2020 by Sam

Alicia Keys keeps the upliftment going on new song ‘Good Job.’

Served up as the latest taste of incoming album ‘Alicia,’ the haunting hymn expresses gratitude to those whose efforts – in various corners of life – may have gone unnoticed.

Suffice to say, in light of the global health crisis, it arrives at an apt time.

Speaking on CNN’s Anderson Cooper-hosted ‘Town Hall,’ the 15-time GRAMMY winner shared that the song is being released in dedication to all the essential workers helping combat the pandemic.

Its arrival comes on the heels of ‘Underdog,’ which is thematically similar and topped iTunes upon becoming anthem of hope.

Take a listen to new Alicia below…

This song has a really wonderful message, but alicias songwriting is absolutely terrible these days. Someone should’ve assisted and tweaked this to make it flow better. But 9/10 because the message behind the song is powerful

Her music sounds as if she is trying to cater to a white audience. Even though she still sings slower music it doesn’t have that “Black” feel or soulfulness that it used to.

A homewrecking millionaire talking about empowerment. Now I think I’ve seen it all. How about empowering women by not stealing their men and forcing their kids to call you Umi, Acnelicia?

Stop using this pandemic as promotional gain for your new album. We’ve lost interest in you ever since you rehashed No One‘s formula about 467 times and tried to act all natural while still wearing make up to hide your horrendous skin.

      You’re miserable lol

      • Clarksooon April 23, 2020

        U fool
U are always angry when people speak the bitter truth.
U are the kind of person that cant face reality, u are delusional

        What @onika said is true.
Alicia pretending to be natural when she wears makeup.
She hasnt evolved as a songwriter
And she is destroyed another woman’s home.
        Swiss beats is trash also.

        You’re also miserable

Sorry but I’m really tired of this bunch of rich and out of touch with reality people sitting in their 45 room mansions or luxury bunkers in anew Zealand telling us what to do and how to behave during a pandemic with millions of people suddenly unemployed. By no means do I say get outside, there’s no pandemic, but you must be blind to not see this blatant agenda they’re pushing with this vaccine and digital document. Call me a conspiracy theorist but I’d rather eff myself with a cactus and listen to Flopmila cebolla‘s entire horrible discography than taking any vaccine or advise that comes from Bill Gates. Again, not against vaccines. Just considering the source.

Thought this song wasn’t gonna be that great but it’s really good. Nice of her to dedicate this song and proceeds to healthcare workers

She lost her edge. she’s lyrically and sonically so boring these past couple eras ??

  5. Just Sayin’ April 23, 2020

hen Alicia became a homewrecker she wrecked her carrer in the process. Her no makeup csmpagin did not help her either. She clearly using this pandamic to chase her glory days. But just like Underdog I don’t believe it will perform well. Nice message though.

This sounds like a rip-off of Beys Soundtrack songs RISE UP and BIGGER. Seems Bey wrecked Alicia OFFKEY’s Career right after Alicia decided to Wreck a Home. ???

    • Clarksooon April 23, 2020

Hey whale, shityonce couldnt have a career without jayzee the drugdealer

      • Bogus April 23, 2020

Hey idiot she was famous before they were together. If Jay is the reason Bey is famous and sought after then why does her music sell more than his ?

I just don’t understand the space she’s in. She’s been down and dull ever since J Records folded. RCA must have a terrible team to not be able to do anything better with Alicia. She’s not being challenged.

I really appreciate the positive message behind the song. I wouldn’t give it a second spin, for me it’s the kind of song you only need to hear once. I’m looking forward to hearing fun Alicia again.

This is a beautiful song and much better than “Underdog.”

Alicia Keys is shamelessly using the pandemic to sell herself as a ‘heal the world’ person, while sitting in her mansion and being a puppet of the system. In her book she claimed to have been struggling at 16 when she had a six-figure deal with a record label. What can a Alicia, who was complaining about that calling that an ‘empty checking account’, know about the struggle of an everyday person? She is a pretentious fool, who doesn’t write or produce in reality. She has multiple producers and songwriters credited on all of her albums. She also was sued or accused of copying by songwriters she stole from. She has been wearing makeup while pretending to be natural. She got Grammys, but Clive Davis is on the Academy’s board, so is her sound engineer Ann. Her own managers and friends are giving her Grammys. This song is another attempt to capitalize on the pandemic. The thing is she is so corny, nobody would take her seriously. She is a homewrecker, who makes step children call her Umi because she wants to. She is an imposter. Pay attention, her song ‘Falling’ went on top of the charts the week after 9/11 and what was happening to the Towers? They were falling. At the same time she was trying to capitalise on the tragedy. She has no shame. She is an industry plant from the beginning.

Omg I never tripped off that. Is all this really true?

AK is so pathetic. I love the fact, that people are seeing the truth, which is that she is simply trying to make a profit via this global, lethal pandemic. She has wrecked a home, she has stolen music and now she’s doing this. What is the conclusion? No, she absolutely does not have any moral law built in her what so ever.
