Celine Dion Announces Postponement Of The ‘Courage World Tour’ Due To Coronavirus

Published: Sunday 26th Apr 2020 by Sam

Celine Dion is the latest artist to see their musical plans brought to an abrupt halt due to the global health crisis.

The legendary songbird has been wowing audiences in North America on the inaugural leg of her ‘Courage World Tour.’

However, she’s having to hit the pause button.

Details below…

The European leg of the blockbuster trek had been set to kick off next month. But, of course, with the live entertainment sector on mandatory hold, so too are Dion’s dates.

She confirmed the postponement of the upcoming shows, saying:

“My thoughts and prayers go out to all those who have lost loved ones and suffered so much during this devastating coronavirus pandemic. I know that everyone is struggling to adapt to these challenging circumstances, not knowing when things will return to normal. Eventually, we’ll get through this… hopefully, sooner rather than later. In the meantime, I have so much admiration for the healthcare professionals, first responders, and all the courageous people who are doing everything possible to care and provide for us during these most difficult times. I look forward to the days when we can once again share the joys of singing and dancing together. For the time being, health and safety is the top priority for everyone… but I can’t wait to get back on stage and be with all of you again.”

The affected dates are as follows:

Fans are being encouraged to hold on to tickets, as they’ll be valid for soon to be announced rescheduled dates. However, refunds are said to be available for those who want them (from original point of purchase).

I saw the show and I would not recommend that anyone get a refund. Keep those tickets!

Next year will be booming with new albums and tours! Even if you release now, everybody’s in quarantine so though you cant traditionally promote, you’ll still do pretty decent. I’m surprised Beyonce doesnt have a quarantine album since she doesnt promote no damn way.

Good luck seeing her on tour. She already looks like a corpse. She won’t make this year.
