Alicia Keys has a reason to be thankful, because her musical ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ has reached a major milestone.

‘Hell’s Kitchen’ is a semi-autobiographical musical about Keys’ childhood in Manhattan. The music and the lyrics to it were written by Keys herself.
The musical landed a total of 13 nominations throughout the categories. In all, it received nominations for: Leading Actress (for Maleah Joi Moon in the Keys-inspired lead role of Ali), Best Direction, Best Book, Best Scenic Design, Best Costume Design, Best Lighting Design, Best Sound, Best Choreography, Best Orchestrations as well as other nominations for actors.
“13 TONY Nominations is worthy of popping a bottle at 7am,” Keys said in response to the nominations.
The 2024 Tony Awards will take place June 16.
