It’s been three long years since Kehlani unwrapped an album. But that all changed this week when the R&B belle released sophomore set ‘It Was Good Until It Wasn’t.’
Led by singles such as ‘Toxic’ and ‘FM&U,’ the project also comes on the heels of several collaborations – including cuts with Cardi B and Teyana Taylor.
With the focus firmly affixed on her music, how is the Oakland native set to fare on the charts? Find out below…
According to Hits Daily Double, ‘It Was Good Until it Wasn’t’ is projected to premiere on the Billboard 200 with:
[Sales Plus Streaming]
An interesting tidbit is the make-up of the figure in comparison to 2017’s ‘SweetSexySavage.’
The latter opened at #3 on the Billboard 200 with 58k, 32k of which was pure sales units. Indicating traditional units to be her strongest format.

In any case, Kehlani looks set for a solid debut amidst competition from NAV and a strong second week for Drake’s ‘Dark Lane Demo Tapes.’
