After taking to Miami’s 99 JAMZ to decline arch nemesis Khia‘s request to engage in a hit-for-hit battle (as we reported here), the radio station announced Trina and her longtime collaborator, Trick Daddy, would be using their platform to duke it out in a VERZUZ-style showdown.

While it should be noted the battle is not directly associated with Timbaland and Swizz Beatz’ VERZUZ brand (which has already announced Hip Hop hitmakers Ludacris and Nelly as its next combatants), the Slip-N-Slide duo’s duel was inspired by the web craze and will be similarly formatted for Instagram.

He doesn’t have the same catalog she has and most of their hits or singles are together. Although I would watch to hear about how they got started in the game as well as the subtle shade they’d throw. I’m sure they probably won’t name drop too hard, but I’m sure they have some stories to tell.
