‘Make America Great Again’ advocate Kanye West has opened his wallet in support of families affected by racial injustice.

TMZ reports that the rapper and ardent Donald Trump supporter has ponied up $2 million to the families and legal teams of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and others.
A rep for West confirms he has also set up a college fund for Floyd’s six year old daughter.
While the move has been praised by some, others aren’t as endorsing – given the star’s political affiliations and racial commentary.
Indeed, West most notably went on record to intimate that “slavery was a choice.”
It begs the question: does a good deed from a polarizing figure dilute its effectiveness?

It’s easy to forget because of his celeb status that Kanye suffers from a mental health illness, one that mirrors the symptoms of schizophrenia in many ways. Irrespective of his past thoughts and ideas, some of which no doubt were influenced by his condition and therefore to an extent beyond his control, doing something like this for others when he had no obligation to do so, is commendable and amazing.
if you’re gonna keep endorsing politicians who work against these initiatives then you’re just burning your money. at least this little girl will benefit from it, I guess….
