Kelis Condemns The Exploitation Of Black Artists In The Music Industry

Kelis believes that it is time for the music industry to examine the way it exploits black artists.

After a number of record labels vowed to back the Black Lives Matter movement, Kelis took to Instagram to reveal that she believes that the business should start by looking in the mirror.

For, she believes that the business is just as guilty of exploiting people of African descent as the rest of society is.

    I rolled my eyes when record label said they are participating in the black out

    Gurl, u guys use black artists like s****.
    U give them shìtty contracts to sign etc.

    Not only white executives but black music executives do this to black artistes

    Pharrell, p. Diddy , two rats are a perfect example.
