New Song: Teyana Taylor – ‘Wake Up Love (ft. Iman Shumpert)’

Published: Friday 12th Jun 2020 by Sam

Teyana Taylor teams with husband Iman Shumpert on ‘Wake Up Love’ – the latest taste of new project ‘The Album.’

The couple marry their talents on the smooth rap-sung collaboration, which follows tracks such as ‘Morning (ft. Kehlani),’ ‘We Got Love,’ and ‘How You Want It?’

Listen to the Shumperts serenade each other with affection on ‘Wake Up Love’ after the jump…

Solid.

While we’re still waiting on that uptempo jam that Taylor’s performance ability calls for, she’s no doubt in the apex of her element on mid-tempo jams of this ilk.

We remain excited for ‘The Album’ and the variety we’re hopeful it’ll bring.

Another song from this girl that nobody will stream or buy.
Gurl, who is financing these projects u keep releasing.

How do u get the money to fund these projects?
Cause I dont think a record label will keep pouring money into an artiste that is not selling or making them a return of investment

That’s the problem y’all be so fixated on numbers, that you can’t enjoy the music! Her tone is underrated asf! I was once one of those people worrying about numbers, but for what reason tho? I have no clue, because at the end of the day what does it do for me or you? Anyway I seen a therapist & now I’m just enjoying things as they come & I really enjoyed that.

She finances herself. She directs and choreographs her own videos and photoshoots. I’m not sure if she writes her music but I wouldn’t be surprised since a lot of it has a similar sound. Not to mention she has a rich husband.

It’s refreshing to see Teyana in HER element. Not “paying homage” to 90’s artists. I would love to see more originality from her. The song is cute. Congrats on the pregnancy!
