August Alsina is doubling down on his comments about Jada Pinkett Smith.
As widely reported, the R&B star left jaws ajar when he revealed that he was romantically involved with the married actress – and allegedly had the blessing of her husband Will Smith.
The Hollywood royals have vehemently denied Alsina’s narrative via reps and Jada announced that she’ll be addressing the situation on an upcoming instalment of Red Table Talk.
Before then, the New Orleans reared crooner took to to Instagram to share a lengthy letter standing by his statement and revealing that “everyone got courtesy calls time in advance.”

“God said, We may grow weary and tired fighting in the fire, but we shall NOT be burned! The journey to freedom is a deeply complex, tricky, and turbulent road to tow; yet very necessary. Oppression comes in so many forms these days, beginning w/ physical slavery and bondage to the white man, then passed down generational programming that manifest into mental enslavement. Slaves to an idea, slaves to an image, slaves to a code of conduct, slaves to a picture you’ve created in your mind.. even if it contains many falsities.. & anything that differentiates from your “idea” & “image” feels like an attack. & I get it; not only do i get it but I’m also sorry you feel that way, BUT, The only attack here is against the invisible walls of silent societal construct and “code” we place upon each other & upon ourselves hidden behind the desires of others approval & acceptance; another form of slavery & bondage that blocks one’s truest self from showing & spirit flow. Be blocked and stuck for what?
Live silent, pressed down crippled in fear for who ? Adversary is but a gift given to you to flourish. This is why I never cared for Jada on Red Table talk how are you going to be speaking on others truths but you can’t speak on your own!!! I believe August because Will and Jada have had the rumors for years, wendy talked about it on the radio, it’s not a secret. August got to be with Jada and Will got to be with Duane Martin… as long as they ask for permission first.

First of all, he can’t use God to justify his truth, because it isn’t Godly for him to sleep with another man’s wife; that’s adultery and covetousness, neither of which are “the gift of freedom that God promises us.” Secondly, he has no room to criticize anyone for being a s**** to societal code, because he was following code and being s**** to society’s creation of open marriage and the fantasy he constructed for himself when he sought and was allegedly granted permission to be in a relationship with Jada. He broke whatever code or rules there were between them and now wants to cry about codes existing in the first place. He’s just mad about Jada going back to Will at the end of the day… again, allegedly.
