The Atlanta-based rapper announced today that he will be launching the ‘I’m Still a Dreamer’ COVID-19 scholarship to incoming college freshman through his FreeWishes Foundation.

In a statement released to Billboard, the rapper said:

“You don’t have to be in the perfect situation or come from the perfect background to reach for your dreams. Despite this Covid-19 pandemic, I encourage all dreamers to continue to dream big.”

In order to apply for the scholarship, high school graduates must submit a video detailing how the coronavirus pandemic has affected their lives. Applicants must also have a 3.00 grade point average, reside in Georgia, and be currently enrolled in classes for fall 2020.

The maximum amount awarded is $2,500. Submissions are due July 27 with winners announced on August 4.
