Cardi B & Megan Thee Stallion’s ‘WAP’ Headed Towards #1 Debut

Published: Thursday 13th Aug 2020 by Ryan

Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion are off to a strong start!

The pair’s first collaboration together, ‘WAP,’ is projected to debut atop the Hot 100 chart. And with colossal numbers too.

Full story below:

As of now, the track takes the lead from former chart-topping smash ‘ROCKSTAR’ by DaBaby and Roddy Ricch by 300 chart points.

Additionally, the song is on course to score the biggest sales week of 2020 (with some forecasts trending as high as 900,000).

If it manages to hold onto its lead, ‘WAP’ will become Cardi’s 4th and Meg’s 2nd single to top the charts.

The ‘Be Careful’ rapper previously reached the chart’s summit with her song’s, ‘Bodak Yellow’ ‘I Like It,’ and ‘Girls Like You’ with Maroon 5.

As for the ‘Girls In The Hood’ rapper, she previously scored her first #1 with the Beyonce-assisted ‘Savage.’

We love to see it!

Ebony P:o:r:n industry welcomed those two h:o:es. Female empowerment Can accomplish with classy manner, elegant attitude , glamorous outfit and without taking their clothes off. Timeless female collaborations: “When you believe” Mariah Carey & Whitney Houston. “ “tell him” celine dion & barbra streisand. “The boy is mine” Brandy & Monica. “Beautiful liar”. Beyoncé & Shakira. “Telephone” Lady Gaga & Beyoncé….. they all are classy, s:e:x/y n fun

marilyn monh-O-E, good point here, the problem with this song and video is that it is not labeled as p0rn. If it was and put in its proper place, then no one would object, it is the classification of this song as pop music and its consumption by impressionable and developing young people . That’s the problem. This is audio p0rn and I feel the same way about most of male driven rap too! I think these ladies look amazing personally, JS but its soft p0rn and it is ruining the minds of our kids. We as black people got to demand more responsibility from our artists. We talk about the police, etc, but we support songs of crime, we talk about wanting respect, yet degrade ourselves. The world may fear our rioting rage but they will never respect us as a people until we reform our culture as a whole into one that can sustain and foster a healthy community. MHO

      • Bardii August 13, 2020

We definitely LOVE to see it! Congratulations Cardi and Meg! The song is a SMASH! I’ve definitely went back to watch it several times. This also confirms that #CardiSeason has officially began! I truly think if this song didn’t go number 1, her album would be delayed for sure. I’m excited for the ladies! Keep winning Bardi gang and Hotties!

Yassssssssssss Bardi and Tina Snow!!! Push Thru with the #1 hit!!!🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽Congratulations to both ladies!!

  13. POPS+MUVA August 13, 2020

Cardi B announced her comeback and everyone forgot about Onika who was doing desperate attempts to reach number 1. Both of her number 1’s don’t feel genuine. Cardi has been slaying the charts and proving she’s a big force

    • Fancy BISH August 13, 2020

This! 💯 All of Cardi’s #1’s are BIG Billboard Hot 100 hits! In fact, she’s the last artist to win the Top Hot 100 Song award (and had two songs nominated in the category) cause the pandemic is keeping Lil Nas X from winning his (but he will chile lol) 🤳🏽

  14. #WAP August 13, 2020

Is anyone shocked? Meanwhile, nickis “#1’s“ that she clearly bought didn’t even have a video so nobody even remembers or gives her credit 🤣

    • You want this August 13, 2020

Chill. As if cardi would be a thing without a Nicki Minaj. Keep trying to form a narrative of rap success without Nicki opening them doors and keeping them open for ten years.
      Old girl said it herself.

Atlantic have a budget and have the blue print that is Nicki Minaj just Nicki Minaj had young money and lil Kim as a reference. The difference is, unlike cardi Nicki could actually spit and hold her own against the guys and the greats which re opened the lane for female rap and reimagined the level of success for female mc.

Nobody was checking for females until Nicki monstered the men on kanyes album. No one is knocking on cardis doors solely based on her rap talent or lyrics. She’s a social media personality with an industry backing her which Nicki Minaj through her talent and hard work ethic carved out for over a decade . If there was no Nicki, there would be no cardi. Almost like if there was no Kim there would be no Nicki. Credit where credit is due

Shading Nicki for not achieving things like a Grammy and a number one is not a sign of talent it’s a sign of the times mate and times are changing. So congratulations to cardi for living in her truth. No matter how many ASCAP awards or paid radio streams Atlantic buys no one not even Kim can claim success and longevity in a white pop male dominated industry like Nicki has and cardi has her to be grateful for as do the fandom whether you like Nicki or not.

    That 15minutes lasting hella looooooooooooonnnnnnnngggggg🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿

  16. PinotNoir August 13, 2020

    Dug Cardi’s debut.

But this feels undeserved. Its success rides on the vid more than the music.

What’s next to sell: full cooch?

  17. Lou-Andrew Rodriguez August 13, 2020

PAYOLA. The public is NOT checking for this messy s*** song
