Christina Aguilera On Body Positivity: “I’m Not Going On A Diet, Get Over It”

Published: Tuesday 29th Sep 2020 by Ryan

Christina Aguilera is happy with her body and she wants the world to know it.

The superstar singer is featured in L’Officiel Italia 2020’s Fashion Issue, where she talks dieting and body positivity.

Full story below:

On dieting she said:

“I’m not going on a diet, get over it.”

The ‘Candyman’ singer then went on to discuss what beauty means to her currently in a body positive message, saying:

“Each of us is an individual and people judge you based on your differences, on what makes you unique. You have to accept that beauty and to hell with everything else. True beauty for me is the ability to know you and project what you are in an unmistakable light. Not always pretty, far from perfect, but pure.”

She then went on to reveal what advice she would give to others who are struggling to accept their bodies, saying:

“Be kind to yourself. We are all walking on the path of inner research, it is our work as human beings and each one follows a different path, so it makes no sense to make comparisons. ‘Swim in your lane. If you waste time looking over your shoulder to see what others are doing, you lose sight of it,’ is the best advice I’ve ever been given. Let’s try to listen to the things that resonate within us. It takes time to get over the noise and really feel yourself. Let us allow ourselves to be what we are. I have often clashed with my anxieties and with being hypercritical towards myself, but I have never stopped looking for new ways to push myself further, without neglecting to protect myself.”

Needless to say, her advice on body positivity will surely inspire others.

Don’t talk about true beauty after having plastic surgery, and don’t try to deflect from the bigger concern among your fans: the music.

Nothing wrong with being thick. That being said she doesn’t carry weight well. But I ain’t the one f****** her so…. Do you xtina. Her reluctance to release music is another story I’m not sure what’s up with that.

I dunno, y’all…she looks like a grown woman in these pics IMO. I’d rather that than someone trying to hold on to the “Genie In A Bottle” days. About the music, I do wish she would release a soul album. I also would like to see her work with Alicia Keys again…

    zZZztina …

When others intello-philosophically scuba dive, you snorkel.

    Your pop oxygen tank’s tanking.

I’m a huge fans of her’s since the very beginning, but if she was truly happy with her body, then why does she always hide it by wearing ridiculously large clothing? It only makes her look dumpy.

Christina really is such an inspiration. She has so much strength and confidence.
