Cardi B broke the internet last night when news of her shock divorce filing hit the wire.
As reported, the femcee petitioned to end her two year marriage to Migos rapper Offset.
The tone and terms of the document’s particulars fuelled speculation that the split was sudden, seismic, and set to be contentious.
Now, it appears that isn’t the case.

According to TMZ, sources close to Cardi suggest that she wasn’t aware of how heavy-handed the filing (which was done on her behalf) was.
It also included a request for child support.
Per said sources, Cardi believes there is no issue with Offset’s parenting and actually wants joint custody in a healthy co-parenting setup. She isn’t lobbying for child support either.
Word is that her legal team will amend the original filing accordingly.
So, it appears the divorce is very much still happening. Just in a much more amicable manner.
