Eminem is backtracking on some of his words.
For, the rapper is now apologizing to Rihanna on his new song ‘Zeus’ about lyrics that leaked online last year.
Full story below…
On the unnamed track, the Detroit rapper says:
“Of course I side with Chris Brown, I’d beat a bitch down too.”
The lyrics are of course a reference to Chris Brown’s vicious 2009 felony assault of Rihanna when the two had been dating.
At the time Eminem’s publicist clarified the remarks, saying:
“After Eminem recorded it, he scrapped it, and rewrote it. Obviously he and Rihanna have a great relationship.”
Now, he is taking responsibility for the lyrics as he raps on ‘Zeus’:
“But, me, long as I re-promise to be honest / And wholeheartedly, apologies, Rihanna. For that song that leaked, I’m sorry, Ri / It wasn’t meant to cause you grief. Regardless, it was wrong of me.”
Kudos to Eminem for taking responsibility for his actions and apologizing.
