Teyana Taylor could be heading to the small screen.
For, the singer has expressed an interest in playing Dionne Warwick in a potential Netflix biopic series about the soul music legend.

Earlier this week, Warwick took to Twitter to make a case to Netflix about a series on her life and that she wanted Taylor to play her.

Taylor then responded and sounded more than interested in the offer. Taking to Instagram, she said:
“When the LEGENDARY @therealdionnew had this moment w/ @netflix & they started jotting notes in their palm pilots…I was lookin at them likeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. P.S. One thing about them doors…..They open.”

TMZ reports that Warwick contacted Karen Civil, who’s on Taylor’s team, and the pair spoke via phone. The pair allegedly discussed the biopic including Taylor as the star and her company, The Aunties Production, to serve as the producer for the series.

I wonder whatever happened to her biopic with Letoya Luckett attached to play her… Dionne had been working with her on mannerisms and dialect and everything.

I like teyana but in all the roles she’s played thus far, I still she her as Teyana Taylor. You know what I mean? It’s like she’s playing herself all the time. Maybe a role like this could change that.
