Xscape’s biopic may have been announced some time ago, but it’s still in the works.

In a new interview, LaTocha Scott, 1/4th of the group, revealed that the movie is still coming:
“Well we’ve been in talks you know, all of us, all four girls are ready for this to happen. We’re making sure that the people that are getting involved is who we want to be involved with this because when you do a life story that’s it. You can’t go back and change anything, you can’t go erase anything so we just want to make sure it’s done right.”
The group already have an idea of who they’d like to be cast to play them. One pick was none other than ‘Power‘ star, Naturi Naughton. Scott said:
“Naturi from the show Power – everyone says ‘Oh my gosh, you guys look alike.’ Plus she can sing. I talked to her at BET Her when we had to perform that night and she was like ‘I would love to.’ So we’re kind of just making sure the people who we bring in to play us really does the part.”
Tameka ‘Tiny’ Harris is said to be vouching for her own daughter, Zonnique, to be cast in the TV-film.
There’s no word on when we can expect the movie, but we’re buzzed for it. Are you?

Teyana Taylor can sing circles and spirals around Kandi. Kandi has the least appealing vocals in group but the sickest pen game so her focus should be on telling the best of her story because literally anyone can play Kandis role.

I read “Normani” more than once before seeing in the article where it said “Power”, and then I realized it was Naturi.
They’ll definitely need to cast well if the one’s playing them have to use their own vocals!
No disrespect to tiny but she wish she looked like her daughter. And no shade or disrespect to Latoxha but she wished she was Naturi size. I’f it’s a bio it needs to be authentic. Like someone more heavy set to show her struggles of trying to be lead but not having the look. All that need to be told.
