Organizers for the world-renown extravaganza issued a statement moments ago confirming that – despite their best efforts – this year’s incarnation will not be proceeding.
It read:
Now in its 52nd year, Glastonbury has played host to epic showings from the likes of Beyonce, Adele, the Rolling Stones, and Jay-Z. The hope was to add more major names to its history, but that sadly won’t be the case this year.

On the one hand, the arrival of a vaccine has encouraged the live landscape. Yet, with its roll-out, timing, and rules (e.g. mandatory for such events?) still being unclear, it’s not far fetched to expect further cancellations.
