It’s Maluma‘s 27th birthday and the singer has marked the occasion by releasing a surprise album named ‘7 Days In Jamaica.’

Armed with the momentum of recent collaborations with The Weeknd and Jennifer Lopez, the world-renown star paired the project with seven interconnected music videos – which sees the singer journey through the Caribbean country.

The project fuses Latin music and Reggaeton with reggae and dancehall – and collaborate with celebrated Jamaican acts such as Ziggy Marley and Charly Black. Confirmed lead single ‘Agua De Jamaica’ receives a special spotlight.

I’ll be listening. My only issue with him is his lack of evolution, it’s always the same generic latin beats.
« Marinero » was such a good song. But most of his discography is quite forgettable, even tho enjoyable.

Less generic than what I thought, quite a lot of live instruments.
The visual is tired, that’s never been his fuerte.
And vocally he’s still being lazy.
    I wish him well.

Yes maluma is kinda overrated. His is what’s going for him. Other than that his music is kinda blah.

I don’t think the reggae and reggaeton mix well here, even though you’d think they would.
