Mariah Carey is pushing forward with the celebration of #MC30.
This week, the Songbird Supreme has unleashed six new remix EPs from her beloved ‘The Emancipation of Mimi’ era.
The new EPs feature remixes of the songs: ‘It’s Like That,’ ‘We Belong Together,’ ‘Don’t Forget About Us,’ ‘Shake It Off,’ ‘Your Girl,’ and ‘Say Somethin.’
Additionally, she gifted fans the digital debut of her songs ‘Sprung’ and ‘Secret Love.’
On the new EPs, Mimi said:
“Thank you for sharing this time with me and for revisiting all these creative extensions of this body of work. Particularly loving the Desert Storm remix of ‘Don’t Forget About Us’ and the ‘Say Somethin’ … remixes by David Morales! And definitely check out the two bonus tracks (that should have been on the album) ‘Sprung’ and ‘Secret Love’!!”

I love this MC30 celebration the two additional songs were released in Japan during the original album release. Hopefully she is in Atlanta finding some time to enjoy her loved ones, and find inspiration to help create some great tunes.

Nothing new here.
These remixes are really stale for a 2005 album. The two added tracks aren’t great either; her vocal is strained throughout “Secret Love”, and “Sprung” is noisy. I’ll wait for a new album instead.
