Saweetie has found herself in some controversy.
For, the 27-year-old is being accused of stealing the concept for the song ‘Best Friend’ by R&B duo Ceraadi.

Taking to Instagram, Ceraadi called out the ‘Tap In’ rapper on the similarities between their video for ‘BBF’ – which dropped in September – and Saweetie’s new visual.

The group went on to further point out similarities in the lyrics between ‘BBF’ and ‘Best Friend.’
Saweetie responded to the claims with sarcasm, saying:
“Omg we’ll totallyyyy add you in the credz! MY IDOLS.”

This is not the first time that ‘Best Friend’ has made headlines. In December, Warner Records prematurely released the song to streaming services, which led Saweetie to call them out (as we reported here).

Now that you mention it… I remember this song/video. I’m not a ceraadi fan so I didn’t care for it when they did it either, but she absolutely ripped them off. And it’s not even surprising. Literally EVERY song she releases is copied, I mean, sampled from someone else.
