The live music market may be gearing up for a revival, but given the lingering uncertainty, Taylor Swift has made the difficult decision to cancel her ‘Lover Fest’ tour.

The unique trek, which forewent traditional venues in favor of limited large outdoor festival-like setups, was set to commence last summer in support of Swift’s then-new album ‘Lover.’
However, the grip of the pandemic forced a rescheduling.
Still, fans remained excited as it meant the revamped concerts would encompass material from the two surprise LP’s the singer released quickly after, ‘Folklore’ and ‘Evermore.’
Now, the Pop titan has announced that the live shows will not proceed.
Taking to Twitter, she said:
“I miss you terribly and can’t wait til we can all safely be at shows together again “

Unfortunate as this will no doubt be for fans, it does provide a clean creative slate for whatever her return show will be.
It goes without saying that both ‘Folklore’ and ‘Evermore’ served as a brand refresh coming off ‘Lover.’ So revising her tour theme would be a smart play.
