Moments ago, the performer unwrapped the track’s cover and confirmed that the song will be arriving on March 26.
The news will no doubt delight his growing fanbase, who’ve been salivating for the single; one that he’s been teasing for months.
Beyond strategic drip-feed snippets on Twitter, the track was featured prominently in the Logitech Super Bowl commercial Nas starred in.
In an occurrence that was very “2021,” the song also went viral before its release when the 21-year-old featured it in a TikTok video clap back at Tekashi 6ix9ine – who he suggested slid into his DMs before making disparaging comments about him.
‘Montero’ follows aptly buzz cut ‘Holiday,’ which was rolled out during the festive season of 2020.
